Dafoe deserves to win an Oscar for The Lighthouse

I love how there"s no background music. It feels like everything was really happening there :o. Oscar-worthy performance in The Lighthouse. 0:35 I didn"t know they had Digital Lights in the 19th century! Look at the top left. While watching A24"s films im disgusted and scared the whole time but like the day later i realize how beautiful they are and then theyre my favorite movies.

Not gonna lie, the sound design of the mermaids scream... ?? I dont usually remember horror movie sounds that much, say for The Grudge sound (thats kind of hard to forget haha) but that scream is burned into my memory and sent shivers up and down my body in theaters. ??. YES. Best movie of the year.

I can never play peekaboo with baby sis ever again. Joker: I have the best dance scene in 2019 Lighthouse: Hold me lobster. Saw The Lighthouse last night, and what an absolutely amazing work of cinema. Just like The VVitch, you absolutely cannot take your eyes off the screen and the brilliant atmosphere and performances. Props to whoever was the animal handler for this film. The goat, it"s reactions, and it"s movement are some of the most oddly disturbing things I"ve ever seen put to film without CGI. Well played.

Adam Sandler is the surprisingly great serious actor we dont deserve but need. He"s such a master. And seems so humble and grounded at the same time. I stand in awe and greatest respect.
